Haritha kundara project is also aims to empower those workers who make an earning by collecting the things which we considered as waste. People commonly called them as acri merchants, rag pikers, scrapers and often looks down them as mediocre persons. But in fact they are the greatest servants of our good earth by collecting old and waste materials which otherwise become harmful to the earth. They make our surroundings clean some extend and we can’t able to think a world without them. These kind of waste workers and rag pickers are the key pillars in which our dream-a clean and green kundara should be build .Haritha kundara project team decided to felicitate them in a formal occasion and also to incorporate them to our project with proper training and recognition. We, the Haritha kundara project team rechristened them as harithsena and arrange a gathering and felicitation ceremony for them on 25/06/2012 at ilamballoor panchayath conference hall kundara. The samgamam was attended by 120 harithsena members and the meeting was inaugurated by our honorable M.L.A shri M.A Baby. The meeting was presided by Haritha kundara project chairman Shri S.L Saji Kumar. Dr Piush Antony has lectured them about the Haritha kundara project, its mission, vision and goals. She also delivered a session on waste management and also felicitates them for their great service to human kind. The Haritha kundara project has also given them harithkundara tea shirts and caps as a token of appreciation. The Haritha kundara project also plans to provide them an identity card with the help of Kerala social security mission, and insurance with the help of oriental insurance company. Kerala social security mission regional director Major Dinesh Basker,Gilla panchayath members,N.Jagathishan,Sindhu Rajendran,Mohankumar,ilamballoor panchayath president  M.Anish,Thrikovilvattom panchayath president Pro Koshy P.mathew,Perayam panchayath president, M.V Sebastian, Nedumbana Panchayath standing committee chairman Sulbath, Mammoode Indian bank manager R.Asha .. were participated in the Haritha sena samgamam.
